WASHINGTON (NNI) - The United States has decided to ban another major Chinese company after Huawei, according to media reports, the US Department of Defense confirmed in a statement issued yesterday that China's Large chip company Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC) has been blacklisted and trade deals with US companies are being consulted.

 If the ban is enforced, SMIC will be hit hard as it will lose US equipment for chips manufacturing and testing.
